Sunderland Sexual Health Service is delivered by South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. We provide free and confidential advice and treatment and offer a range of services, including:

  • STI screening and testing
  • Contraception  (including coil and implant fitting and removal)
  • Emergency contraception
  • Sterilisation consultation
  • Pregnancy advice and options (including referral to termination service)
  • Advice on safer sex, sexual risk taking, infections, sexuality and gender issues
  • Support for those who have been sexually assaulted
  • Treatment and support for people living with HIV
  • Treatment for those at risk after HIV risk exposure ( PEP)
  • Access to Psychosexual counselling
  • Tests and treatment for genital rashes, itch, discharge, pain
  • Training and education
